As a Software Technical Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Zoox’s autonomous vehicle platform. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams across Zoox and lead coordination with large offshore vendor teams. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and optimize triage and root cause analysis workflows for issues uncovered during both on-road operations and testing of Zoox’s vehicle platforms.
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $137,000 to $188,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.

In this role, you will:
Manage multiple vendors on a daily and weekly basis, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality triage and quality assurance analytical work.Act as the primary liaison between vendors and internal engineering teams, facilitating smooth collaboration and alignment.Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to evaluate, monitor, and continuously improve vendor performanceDeliver clear, concise updates to stakeholders and leadership on project status, risks, challenges, and key milestones. Collaborate cross-functionally with software engineering, QA, release management, systems engineering, and other teams to effectively support their needs. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, program management, management consulting, or operations managementProven understanding of both software and hardware development lifecycles and processesDemonstrated success managing external vendors and outsourcing initiatives, including KPI-driven and time-and-materials (T&M) modelsExcellent communicator with the ability to deliver clear, structured, and audience-appropriate messaging across technical and non-technical stakeholdersBonus Qualifications:
