GreenLight is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our growing Plant Health Manufacturing Team as we establish the world’s first commercial RNA production footprint.

Experience in a team-based operational manufacturing environment along with excellent communication skills are required. Level dependent on qualifications including relevant experience. GreenLight Biosciences offers excellent time off policies and benefits packages.

 

Responsibilities

· Key member of a cross-functional, high performance operational team at GreenLight’s state-of- the-art Pilot Plant and Commercial Facility with the goal to establish a proven technology platform for the commercial production of RNA

· Champion of process and personnel safety

· Accountability for GreenLight Process Technology as the competency leader

· Technical leadership for global Capital Projects

· Front End Loading engineering and basis of design development

· Leader of Operational Excellence processes, best practices, philosophy, and culture

· Accountable for detailed and production design for all Capital Projects

· Organization and workforce development

· Management of commercial operations

 

Qualifications

· >10 years of experience in industrial manufacturing at chemical, food, or life sciences operations

· B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or related field. Advanced degrees are welcome but not a requirement. Industry experience is valued over academic experience

· Experience with participation in CapEx project ($1-100MM) execution from conceptual design through commissioning and startup

· Expertise in aerobic fermentation, biotech downstream processing, biochemical

reactions, technical and quality audits

· Proven success working within Quality Management Systems and adherence to FDA/FSMA and EPA CFR standards related to the production, handling, packaging, and transportation of food, feed and/or pesticide products

· Diversified skill sets to include the design of hygienic equipment and piping systems, process modeling, assessing food and process safety risks (HACCP and PHA/HAZOP/LOPA), techno-economic assessments, and project management

· Experience in the application of RAGAGEP standards to facility and process design

· Strong Automation and Process Control skillset – experience with commonly used automation systems like Emerson DeltaV, Siemens PCS7, and Rockwell/Allen Bradley

· Familiarity with IT/OT systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems

· Safety champion – interdependent safety values aligned with GreenLight’s safety culture

 

Job Information 

Salary Range: $110,000-160,000 depending on skill set of applicants. Role is Full-Time, Exempt, On-Site role
