About this role: 
As our Senior People Partner, you will have an integral role in being a thought leader on people and organizational topics for our department leaders. Our Senior People Partner will contribute at both hands-on and strategic levels to cultivate a collaborative and innovative culture as we work together to decarbonize the industry with concentrated sunlight. You will have the ability to build strong, trusting relationships while operating in an ambiguous environment.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 - 4 days in office (with flexible working hours) at our Pasadena, CA office.  
In this role, you will: 
  • Provide expertise in the development, execution, planning, and facilitation of employee relations efforts across the organization
  • Partner with business units, People Ops, and the Talent team to build a robust and strategically aligned talent strategy
  • Champion effective working relationships and partner alignment across the organization, through coaching of leaders and their managers to ensure talent is set up for success
  • Drive staffing and workforce planning, talent development, organization development, and organizational effectiveness strategies
  • Provide strategic HR partnerships to the business leaders and the teams you support to enhance the growth and impact of those teams on the business
  • Identify and provide solutions for talent management programs including but not limited to talent acquisition and retention, performance management, learning and organizational development, compensations, career development, and succession planning.
  • Drives the design and delivery of talent-related solutions, including strategic planning, visioning, change management, and advises the business units on alternatives and mitigation
  • Analyze trends and metrics as they apply to talent and assist teams to develop proactive actions that support business objectives and people strategy with a keen focus on the retention of high-performing, high-potential employees
  • Partners with Learning and Development on training needs and assessments for business units
What's essential:  
  • 4-year degree in HR, Business, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner (or 7-10 years as an HR Generalist) with significant hands on start-up experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing an array of employee relations issues
  • Strong understanding of Federal and State HR laws and regulations
  • Self-directed, motivated, and takes initiative with the ability to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation of solutions
  • Able to manage multiple business units and teams as well as multiple, conflicting priorities
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, and listening skills
  • Experience working C-suite level executives

Salary: $130,000 - 140,000 + benefits + equity
