A role in Inventory Management within Global Supply Chain means sitting at the center of an exciting manufacturing, sales and operations environment for a company defining the Future of Food.  Our team is working towards a promise to deliver plant-based products at taste, quality, and cost parity to animal protein.
 
As Senior Manager of Inventory Placement you will play a critical role delivering Beyond Meat products to customers worldwide; you will be responsible for leading a team of Inventory Placement Analysts to plan and systematically execute inventory movements through the Beyond Meat supply chain ensuring the right amount of inventory, is in the right place, at the right time to meet the demand of our growing retail, food service and strategic customer base. You will be the single-threaded leader, working closely with sales and operations partners, to redefine the decision-making process for positioning finished goods across several cold-storage facilities to fulfill domestic and international customer orders, as well as define the processes and procedures for executing transactional data entries within our ERP system that initiate inventory movements, manage storage capacities, and track order fulfillments. This role is critical to the development of new tools and processes to support continuous improvement within the Inventory Placement space, and to the day-to-day operations required to meet our promise of providing customers with best-in-class plant-based products.

TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement an automated infrastructure and subsequent processes to position finished goods inventory in cold-storage locations across the globe to fulfill sales orders to an array of retail, food service and strategic customer. 
  • Design and implement sustainable inventory tracking procedures leading to accurate and real-time inventory measures in support of streamlining inventory holdings.
  • Create and maintain inventory databases and systems for accurately managing inventory.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external warehousing sites.
  • The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing several responsibilities at once and can pivot between projects with ease.
  • You will implement and utilize world-class systems and tools to drive step-changes in Inventory Placement performance. You will manage, mentor, and develop the Inventory Placement team.

  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Operations and/or transportation.
  • Master’s level degree, MBA or higher preferred.
  • 4+ years of Supply Chain, Operations and/or transportation-related experience.
  • A highly developed set of skills in quantification and analysis required (Excel, Tableau, SQL)
  • Experience with scripting/statistical language preferred (Python, R, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to deliver complex information to a variety of audiences with impact.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to look at a problem with a number of different perspectives and ideas for a solution.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Full-time.
  • This role is located at Beyond Meat’s corporate office in El Segundo, CA.
  • Must be on-site in the office five (5) days per week.
  • May require occasional travel and light-lifting (up to 50 lbs.) to support physical inventory count procedures.
