Role Description
We are seeking an experienced hardware product manager to facilitate the introduction of our iron-air multi-day storage technology into new markets, starting with the EU. You will collaborate closely with our policy, business development & analytics, and commercial teams to quantify the market opportunity for multi-day storage in new markets. You will work with our product and program teams to define unique product requirements to enter these markets, including codes and standards. In partnership with our program management team, you will drive our first ‘stage gate’ release process to align the company to launch in new markets. In addition, you will support market adoption of our new technology within the U.S., including working with permitting agencies to drive understanding of our technology, and provide feedback to our products team to inform our product compliance roadmap. The ideal candidate brings experience in launching new battery storage technologies, and is an outstanding partner to both external customer and internal product stakeholders. In this role, you will drive the global expansion of our product to accelerate deep decarbonization of grids worldwide.

Engineering bachelor’s degree + 7 years experience or master’s degree with 3 years experience in hardware product managementSolid understanding of battery energy storage product design and compliance requirements; understanding of product compliance requirements in the EU idealDemonstrated track record of bringing new utility-scale hardware products to marketDirect experience working with permitting agencies to communicate product capabilities and understand unique requirementsOutstanding communication and presentation skills: able to crisply communicate product capabilities to technical customers or permitting authorities and to internal stakeholdersSuperior team collaborator; thrives in engaging stakeholders across the organization, from business development to engineering and customersComfortable operating in a fast paced, high-tech, high-profile start-up where decisions and progress must be made with imperfect informationSelf-starting, entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated track record of leading new initiatives with limited resources
