What you will do:
As a Senior Facilities Technician, you will support and oversee the maintenance and repair of building systems, equipment and infrastructure. You will provide technical expertise, troubleshoot complex issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You may mentor junior technicians and collaborate with various departments to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex facility issues, which may include electrical faults, leaks, and mechanical failures
- Support junior technicians, providing guidance and training as needed
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, building codes and environmental regulations in conjunction with our Safety Team
- Manage and coordinate work with external vendors and contractors when necessary
- Keep accurate maintenance records, work logs, and inventory supplies
- Assist in energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability programs
- Assist in office and workspace setup, including moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
- Respond to maintenance requests from employees and document completed work
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and request restocking as needed
- Support emergency preparedness efforts, including fire safety systems and evacuation procedures
- Read, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
What we need you to bring to the team (Requirements):
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ in facilities maintenance or a related role
- Proven experience as a Facilities Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Building Engineer
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Solid understanding of workplace safety regulations (OSHA, fire codes, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently receiving little instruction on daily work
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Experience using a CMMS or similar maintenance software
What we want you to bring to the team (Preferred) :
- Technical Certification or vocational training in facilities maintenance, HVAC or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related role
Compensation:
- The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $30.00-34.50 / hourand may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
