What you will do:
The Senior Facilities Manager will help manage multiple Electra facilities in the Denver/Boulder area, managing building steady state operation and coordinating civil/architectural updates as needed.
In this role you will:
- Help coordinate construction and bring up of new chemical processing demonstration plant being the main point of contact between construction and facilities.
- Be the responsible party for all facility upgrade management and maintenance, often involving contractor sourcing, vetting and supervision.
- Coordinate internal communication and any facility upgrades and/or shutdowns.
- Direct and manage major facilities construction and modification projects to insure completion on time and on budget using project management principles.
- Manage complex multidisciplinary projects including electrical, HVAC, concrete, and compressed gas utility lines.
- Manage site awareness, communicate conditions, and recommend mitigation strategies for operational activities.
- Work with cross functional teams to solicit feedback and upgrade facilities to add research/engineering organizations.
- Lead support staff to ensure hourly coverage during all maintenance activities.
- Reads, understands, and complies with all workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
What we need you to bring to the team:
- Associate's degree in business administration or operations management or similar required; bachelor's degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of facilities engineer/manager experience.
- 10+ years working with contractors and engineering firms on wide breadth of industrial facility construction and maintenance.
- Experience with all major facility expansion/modification work including HVAC, concrete, hot/cold water systems and industrial electrical systems.
- Experience working with municipal permitting offices and PE certification firms.
- Demonstrated experience designing, planning and implementing small to large-scale capital and overhead projects on time and on budget.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work effectively with engineering, operations and management.
- High level of computer proficiency.

- Experience in electrochemical facilities, fuel cells, chemical processing, etc.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand/sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to operate basic machine tools and test equipment.
Compensation:
- The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 annually and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
