At Dioxycle we develop electrolyser solutions for carbon dioxide emissions. Using state-of-the-art technology, we research and provide technology that captures and converts carbon dioxide and ultimately generates valuable chemical products.
About Dioxycle
Dioxycle is pioneering breakthrough carbon utilization technologies that convert industrial emissions into sustainable chemicals with unprecedented energy and cost efficiency. By displacing fossil fuels for the production of key chemicals, Dioxycle has the potential to ultimately reduce over 800 million tons of CO2 per year, representing over 2% of the world's emissions.
Our team is innovating across chemical, mechanical and system engineering to turn carbon transformation into an economically feasible, industrial reality by developing a completely novel technological approach. Having completed our medium-scale Proof-of-Concept electrolyzer, we are now working towards a first-of-its-kind large-scale industrial prototype and are assembling key partnerships for future commercial roll-out.
We are supported by world-class funders including Lowercarbon Capital, Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Gigascale Capital and have raised $26M to date. We operate from two centers in Paris and California (so whether you are passionate about outdoors or good food/art scenes, we have a location for you to join!)
Your Mission
Dioxycle is seeking a dynamic Senior Electrolyzer Development Engineer to join our team at this pivotal phase of transition from R&D to industrial piloting. You will be leading testing and building of next-generation electrolysis stacks to optimize them for peak performance and operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the MEA engineering team to ensure efficiency and durability are maintained in the electrolyzer scale-up(s)
- Troubleshoot processes & optimize novel electrolyzer stacks (large-scale)
- Carry out observation & analysis to develop deeper understanding of stack behaviour (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root cause analysis, etc)
- Mount, assemble, maintain and disassemble novel electrolyzer stacks
- Communicate findings to stack design team and work with them to ensure optimization of future designs
- Maintain the balance of plant (pumps, piping, thermal management, etc.) of electrolyzer stacks in collaboration with our System engineers.
- Develop & manage quality control, sensor calibration and testing campaigns
- Work with the overall engineering team to deepen understanding of, and unlock improvements in, electrolyzer performance
We seek a Senior Electrolyzer Development Engineer who is dedicated to advancing our mission and possesses the skills outlined below. Candidates with a minimum of three years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. We welcome experienced candidates who have electrolysis experience, but it is not a requirement for the role.
