Senior Cost Engineer

About this role:

Under the guidance of the Project Controls Manager (PCM) or Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for development, maintenance of cost engineering processes, controls, metrics, reports and daily activities.

The subject team member will be the key person leading cost engineering activities, providing analysis and timely recommendations to the PCM, PM or other relevant team members.

**This is a Hybrid role working from our Houston office 1-2 days per week.  

In this role, you will:

• Interact with engineering, procurement, construction and subcontract project team members
• Develop, manage and report on: total cost forecasts, annual cost forecasts, actuals, deviations, identify trends, revenue flows, cost flows, labor, productivity, progress, revenue earnings, financial reporting, etc.
• Develop and manage breakout or ad hoc cost engineering tools and visuals when required

What's essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or business with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience
• Relevant cost engineering experience from an EPC firm
• Proficiency with industry standard project controls applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBi, EcoSys, etc.)
• Skilled written and oral communication
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes

Desirable:

• Experience on major power or oil & gas projects
• Experience with renewables or CSP (Concentrated Solar Project)
• Professional certifications (PE, PMP, etc.)
