Position Title: SCADA Engineer – Energy Storage System

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on SCADA Engineer – Energy Storage Systems (ESS) to join our team. This role covers a broad range of skill set in power grid automation, data acquisition, and IT networking. As our perfect candidate for the role, you will be responsible for envisioning, designing, and engineering SCADA and Automation solutions for technology agnostic energy storage systems. As we rapidly grow and deliver several projects simultaneously globally, you will help document and build scalable processes, technical solutions, and products.

Responsibilities
Lead the engineering, commissioning, and implementation of SCADA & Automation of the battery storage systems. This includes but is not limited to:Work with customer to determine system requirements and verify our solution will meet and exceed our customer’s requirementsOversee SCADA implementation requirements and implement by following industry best practicesCollaborate with cross functional teams and support as subject matter expertPrepare and maintain SCADA solution technical documents such as all technical design philosophy, data lists, bill of material, diagrams, and layoutsWhat a qualified candidate should possess
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (MSc a plus)3+ years’ experience in SCADA and PLC development or application engineering roleThorough knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, DNP3.0 and IEC 61850Working knowledge on SEL RTAC, SEL Relays & Meters and SCADA gatewaysExperience with point-to-point testing and communication protocol troubleshootingExperience with network switches, media converters (fiber/serial) and security requirements such as NERC CIP Understanding ring network redundancy concepts such as HSR and PRP is a plusTechnical knowledge of inverter-based generation systems, renewable energy, and energy storage industry a plusWillingness to travel
