Part of the APAC Supply Chain Team, the Regional Supplier Quality lead is the direct point of contact for internal and external stakeholders in each region and country. The team functions are:
 
§  The immediate point of contact for regional / local supplier quality issues
§  Support or drive the regional / country supplier qualification and succeeding assessment and evaluation with the regional Supply Chain team
§  Driver of supplier quality improvement programs in collaboration with regional supply chain teams and global quality teams
§  Owner of the overall quality assurance for the in scope contract manufacturers
§  Focal point for Fluence supplied products warranty management.
 
 
Works with cross-functional partners in commercial, manufacturing, customer service, purchasing and other functions to ensure safe and reliable supply of products to customers.  Develop and lead implementation of Supply Chain strategies for the business in partnership with Regional & Functional leadership. 
 
This person will report directly to the VP, Supply Chain - APAC and will support the quality assurance for the overall Supply chain for APAC.
 
 
As the Regional Supplier Quality lead for APAC, you will:
§  Be responsible to drive programs to increase organization’s input in reporting supplier quality issues to enable improvement plans and strengthen quality culture within the organization.
 
 
§  Acts as the escalation point and ensure the Regional Supplier Quality team maintains an active stance in being the main point of contact for the investigation and resolution of all product quality issues discovered and for interacting with the relevant regional stakeholders on such issues.
§  Monitor the product quality and compliance activities to ensure current regulatory expectations are met in collaboration with regional/global Supply Chain team and Supplier Quality Planning & Development team.
§  Support the Global Supplier Quality team in carrying out surveillance inspections and the SQPD team in performing supplier process and surveillance audits.
§  Proactively manage issues for early resolution.
§  Drives close out of supplier corrective action request (SCARs) for quality issues raised.
§  Develops a system to effectively control the quality of incoming materials.
§  Mentors the team to ensure that key performance indicators of the team and supplier deliverables are met and proactively implement recovery actions.
Qualifications & Skills
·       Bachelor’s Degree or graduation is required in engineering or related field.
·       Professional certificate in Supply Chain or/and quality is preferred: CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, CIPS level/s, Lean Six Sigma, Master Black Belt, CQE etc.
·       Proven experience in senior supplier quality roles with a strong track record of success.
·       Knowledge of other methods such as Root Cause Analysis, Supplier Management System
·       Good exposure to suppliers in the following categories – Mechanical Fabrication, Electro-mechanical assembly & boxes, Electrical assembly, inverters; HVAC, Chillers, tele communication racks, servers, Fire panels
·       Knowledge and experience in NPD and products localizations
·       General computer proficiency with MS 365 or equivalent collaboration tools, MS Excel, Power BI etc.
·       Well versed & working experience with ERP (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
·       Well versed & working experience with S2C, SRM tools/business systems (Ariba, Coupa, SRM)
·       Excellent communication (Verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
·       Project Management Skills (PMI certification is an added advantage)
·       Excellent Presentation skills
·       Analytical & problem-solving skills, Agile and adaptable.
·       Good Understanding of Sourcing & Procurement Domain
·       Must be self-driven, organized, planning skills and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment
·       Preferred experience: Min 7 Years with min 3 years in lead/manager position related to Supplier quality
