We are looking for a Quality Engineer who will:

The responsibilities and duties of the Quality Engineer will be as follows:

  • Collaborate with the Energy Storage team on creation of documented information, controlling processes to support working activities (e.g. manufacturing processes, SOP’s, forms)
  • Utilising quality tools (APQP, FMEA (D/P), control plans, FAIRs, process flows, cost of quality, SPC)
  • Develop inspection plans and supporting inspection procedures, in accordance with APQP requirement(s)
  • Monitor nonconformity register and ensure mitigation plans are in place to close off actions, where necessary
  • Conduct and coordinate root cause analysis activities (using 5 Whys, 8D etc)
  • Monitor suppliers and sub-contractors with regards to quality assurance and quality control
  • Control the Quarantine store within the Energy Storage facility
  • Maintain equipment calibration schedule and records for Energy Storage
  • Collate KPI’s and prepare report(s) for further analysis
  • Identify and champion continual improvement activities

 

The successful Quality Engineer will have the following Experiences & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in Quality Assurance / Control
  • 5+ years of working within defined Quality Management Systems
  • Experience of manufacturing processes
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within a regulated environment of advanced technology (e.g., aerospace, defence, automotive design and manufacturing)
  • Experience with production of energy storage systems
  • Experience of Lithium-ion systems
  • Degree / HND / HNC in Engineering or equivalent
  • ISO 9001:2015 or higher training
  • Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Experience in training or development of others
