To own and lead a programme of design and equipment supply projects –as standardised product line solutions to meet our increasing client demand.
Includes requirement to perform effective team leadership alongside client and internal stakeholder relationship management.
Management of resources, reporting, scope/cost/schedule/quality control to underpin successful project outcomes across the delivery programme.
Your key focus will be:
- Oversight of successful execution of the projects within programme within execution strategy governance.
- Line management of a team of project managers delivering the programme. Act as advisor and consultant to project managers as part of driving successful project outcomes and individual development.
- Client facing sponsor relationships; involvement across early phase development definition, execution approach plus escalation resolution.
- Strategic lookahead planning, for both current and future state requirements, deliberately in step with Carbon Clean’s other delivery programmes – strategic approaches will overlap.
- Conform to cross company project and corporate governance requirements. Ensure your programme of projects are in process.
- Develop and maintain successful interface relationships with Sales, Proposals, Project Services, Supply Chain and Engineering for both strategic planning and resolution of escalated issues.
- Be a proactive part of a continuous improvement culture as we continue to grow Carbon Clean and require our systems, ways of working and teams to keep pace.
Requirements
The position would suit an engineering project management team leader with experience in delivery of process-industry based projects.
To be successful in this role you should have a combination of the below knowledge, skills, and experience:
- To have managed teams; operating in global work environments.
- Familiarity with engineering and fabrication subcontract delivery models, from feasibility through to commissioned projects.
- A variety of client facing history.
- Strong working knowledge of project controls and project management critical success factors, with demonstrated experience of adapting and applying them across projects/sub projects under your leadership.
- A history of leading projects at a range of sizes, value, and complexity. Understanding how to be effective at all project sizes is critical.
- Working effectively within a globally dispersed organisation and supply chains.
- High levels of commercial acumen.
- Comfort working in a fast paced, start-up environment requiring flexibility and pragmatism.
- Natural preference for driving efficiency, reduced process, and confidence of how to achieve high performance of projects in that context.
- Able to thrive in low ego, autonomous and collaborative environment – desire to contribute your expertise and approach as part of a fast-evolving collegial environment.
