What You Will Be Doing
As a Technical Product Owner, you will work to help the team understand requirements, understand regulatory requirements and break them down into requirements, help in architecture and help build and deploy embedded software solutions.
What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
- Working with product management, program managers, engineering managers, hardware, regulatory and other teams to build technical requirements; subsequently work with engineering teams to develop software design, etc.
- Work on regulatory requirements and help translate them into software requirements
- Help and guide team in understanding the regulatory requirements and software expectations to match the regulatory requirements
- Ensure requirements are fully understood and implementation matches expectations.
- Own and coordinate the embedded software release schedules and work with engineering managers to drive teams to meet committed delivery dates.
- Actively groom the product backlog and ensure that the features and bugs are prioritized properly in a release Help EPMs and EMs in managing scrum and agile methodologies
- Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical/developer community. Evangelize and promote engineering best practices.
- Work with customer support, QA and management to define errata for a release.
- Actively work and drive next gen technology based requirements for the embedded software
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to deliver and support cloud-connected software running on commercial/industrial hardware.
- Demonstrated ability and inclination to make critical system-level design decisions to drive projects from start to finish
- Experience with working through bring up and delivery phase of new embedded systems / technology products
- 8+ years of experience working on embedded system products using C/C++, and shell scripting (bash or equivalent)
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent (MS preferred)
Preferred to have
- Experience in regulatory domain. Big plus if experience in EV regulatory domain like Eichrecht, CTEP, spanish Metrology, UL.
- Exposure in connectivity architecture using Wireless (Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC), and wired (Ethernet, CAN) interfaces a plus
- C/C++ coding in a Linux environment; modern C++ is preferred
- Working with EV / EVSE products is a big plus
