BETA Technologies is seeking a driven aerospace engineer as a Metallic Stress Engineer for the Structures team. As an integral member of BETA's growing team, you will be highly motivated to work with dynamic, cross-functional groups to ensure the success of the aircraft through certification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible to review and generate structural analysis of aircraft metallic structuresComplete hand calculations and FEM analysis of structures, perform stress analysis of internal loadsPerform trade studies, derive requirementsSupport test execution, analyze test resultsMentor junior team members and provide support to other internal departments that may require your Stress skills
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or related degree from an accredited University. Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience, with a proven track record, developing products through a full product life cycle - concept, prototype, validated design with a vision to scaled production.Highly proficient in metallic structure sizing experience, knowledge of industry best practices and methodologies (Bruhn, ESDU & other recognized methodologies, FAR 23 & 25 Requirements, etc.)Demonstrated FEM proficiency using industry-recognized toolsCreation and analysis of Finite Element results (Nastran files), interface forces, and studies of junctions (metallic and composite) with surrounding partsCapable of simplifying a complex problem and provide an initial analysis to scope critical constraints and feature sizing.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Self-motivated, team player.
