Responsible long term service sizing and costing for utility scale ESS equipmentIdentify, communicate, and resolve contractual and commercial risksResponsible for accurately taking project scope and transferring to technical and non-technical LTSA exhibitsWork with internal and external counsel on contract negotiationsCommunicate through sales team with customers, service and engineering teams, and senior management as necessary to ensure contract requirements are acceptableManage Energy Vault’s risk through contractual terms that reflect a risk level appropriate for an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)Responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining LTSA sizing and costing toolsWork with procurement teams on a regular basis to stay up to date on spare parts and warranty costs provided by the OEMDevelop necessary tools and processes to drive continuous improvement in Energy Vault’s customer proposals and offeringsWork with business development team to identify strategic opportunitiesWhat a qualified candidate should possess
2-5 years of engineering experience with Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and Renewable Generation technologiesBS in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or similar) strongly preferredExperience with electrical power systems designed for power generation, distribution, and storage Experience managing all aspects of technical solution proposal including site evaluation and analysis, technology selection and optimization, detailed costing and estimating Basic knowledge of IEC and IEEE requirements in renewable and energy storage industryExperience in electrical design including basic conductor sizing, protection and controls configuration and familiarity with Substation design and engineering conceptsExperience with long term servicing and maintenance experience, a plusGood knowledge and understanding of inverter-based power systems including basic design principles and limitationsGood understanding of electricity markets and products and use cases realized by Energy Storage systemsWillingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%Comfortable in fast-paced, rapid growth environmentsA passion for sustainability, our mission, and our vision is a bonus!
