Every day at ecoligo we work to fight the climate crisis, bringing solar energy to businesses in countries like Ghana, Kenya, Vietnam, Philippines, Chile, Panama, and Costa Rica amongst others through the ecoligo crowdinvesting platform. We own and manage each energy project allowing us to deliver both environmental and economic returns. Our crowdinvestors earn a solid financial return, and our solar clients get an energy provider that’s fairer, more affordable, and more efficient. So far, ecoligo projects will prevent over 1 million tonnes of carbon dioxide from entering our atmosphere. And we’re just getting started.
We are looking for a Junior Finance Analyst who will work closely with the finance team and support the Global Treasury in daily operational tasks such as controlling cash positions and payments. Additionally, they will improve and automate processes and take the initiative to continue working on the expansion of our treasury department.
In this role you will:
- Control daily cash position to ensure there is sufficient liquidity to meet the requirements. Update controls and support the multi-bank connectivity project.
- Monitor and report the payment schedule for investments and loans, which involves checking repayment schedules and ensuring that the values are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist with back-office settlement activities and payment processing: Start the payment process, request disbursement to local countries, issue letters and agreements when necessary to support accounting in bookkeeping.
- Support in bank account management, KYC, credit cards and opening/closing bank accounts.
- Produce any required treasury process documentation.
- Support the payment process. Approve or execute payments in different countries.
- You will be involved in interesting projects for the optimization and further development of treasury processes, cash management and treasury related software.
Requirements
- You have relevant (2-4 years) professional experience in banking or a fast paced start up environment. Experience in Treasury is a plus;
- Intermediary excel skills. Advanced Microsoft Office, VBA and SQL are a plus;
- CFA candidate or similar is a plus;
- Knowledge of banking processes and payment platforms in general;
- You are very attentive to details and keep things organized;
- You demonstrate a high level of commitment, initiative and the ability to work independently;
- You like to work in a team and convince with your analytical and goal-oriented way of working;
- You have excellent written and spoken English skills
