Position: International and Regulatory Field Trial Agronomist
Location: Remote
We are seeking an International and Regulatory Field Trial Agronomist to design and coordinate the implementation of field trials to support regulatory submissions outside the United States. Additionally, the Agronomist will work in close collaboration with the Regulatory Team to anticipate questions regulators may have, to design and implement trials across multiple environments (domestic and international as needed). This role is essential to advance successful regulatory approvals and advance Pivot Bio’s global business.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Regulatory Team to understand field trial regulatory requirements in international jurisdictions.
- Design and ensure proper implementation of field trials to meet regulatory requirements in countries outside the US.
- Work closely with the Regulatory Team and Regulatory Science network to identify/anticipate regulatory questions or concerns and design, implement small plot trials across environments to address – both domestic and international.
- Provide direction to those implementing field trials such that samples are taken, handled and shipped appropriately to maintain sample integrity and minimize potential for contamination.
- Ensure high standard and quality of work in written documents including written protocols and field trial results.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agency permitting and movement of materials domestically and internationally.
- Up to 40% domestic and international travel required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or PhD in Agronomy or Horticulture related field preferred plus 5 years’ field research experience required
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Advanced field research planning, trial design and statistical analysis
- Strong team player with ability to work successfully across multiple functions
- Desire to learn/understand regulatory requirements and concerns of regulators for advancing microbial products
- Comfortable working in multiple countries with different languages and cultures
