⚡ envelio - Supporting the smarter, faster evolution of your power grid.
We provide distribution grid operators with the Intelligent Grid Platform (IGP) – a software suite that brings all your grid data together to enable real-time decisions, long-term planning, and much, much more.
With real-time digital twins, automated grid assessments, and live monitoring, IGP empowers DSOs to manage increasing infrastructure complexity, renewable integration, and growing power demand.
Our applications cover the full spectrum of operations and planning:
🔹 Process thousands of connection requests in minutes, not days
🔹 Detect grid congestion risks before they cause trouble
🔹 Simulate and plan new grid areas with confidence
🔹 Evaluate the grid impact of EVs, PVs, and heat pumps before they’re built
IGP integrates seamlessly with existing systems like GIS, NIS, SCADA, MDM, EDM and others – enhancing visibility without overhauling existing workflows. And because it’s modular, grid operators can start where they need impact the most.
Trusted by grid operators across Europe and beyond – from Westnetz to Helen Electricity Network and Eversource – envelio's IGP is setting new standards in grid management and planning, facilitating a smoother transition to renewable energies.
💡 Not sure which part of IGP fits your needs? We’ll help you find it.

Your Role
As an intern in the Consulting team, you support our team in addressing current challenges related to the energy transition and distribution grids. You will work on an ongoing study on the further development of grid planning based on real measurement data and contribute to comparing and improving conventional planning approaches with data-driven methods. In addition, you will be involved in the conceptual development of new data-driven consulting services – ranging from the analysis of real measurement data to deriving individual planning principles as a scalable service offering for grid operators.
How You Make an Impact
- You actively work on our consulting projects and support the team in addressing current questions related to the energy transition and distribution grids.
- You analyze and process time-series data (e.g., measurement data from smart metering systems) and derive insights for our projects and analyses.
- You research and structure current developments in grid guidelines and regulatory topics.
- You support the further development of calculation methodologies for grid analyses.
- You contribute to the conceptual development of new data-driven consulting services – for example, exploring how measurement data–based analysis methods can be developed into a scalable service for grid operators.
- You prepare complex topics in a clear and structured way and support the creation of presentations, workshop materials, and project deliverables.
