By replacing the fossil carbon in critical chemicals with renewable, recycled carbon from CO2, we can eliminate emissions from thousands of essential products and set a new standard for how things get made in the climate era.

Job Brief 

Your key responsibilities will include designing and implementing information systems to support our organization's infrastructure, collaborating with the IT team and other departments to identify infrastructure needs and solutions, and managing and monitoring third party and homegrown systems. You will be expected to document and oversee software, hardware, and network installations, software updates, and troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to IT architecture.  You will mentor and coach associates from all levels of the organization on sustainable and scalable IT practices and technologies.  

To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT Engineer or Architect role or similar capacity. Strong knowledge of infrastructure systems including Microsoft Infrastructure (like Active Directory, Powershell, etc), Azure, GCP, and Infrastructure systems (like Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and IoT systems), excellent problem-solving skills, and strong project management and team leadership abilities are required.

This is a hybrid position with expectations to be onsite in our Alameda facility 2-3 times a week.

 

What You Will Do 

  • Develop and implement information systems to meet the company's needs and to streamline operations. 
  • Collaborate with the IT team and other departments to identify and address software and hardware requirements. 
  • Oversee the design and delivery of new applications, systems software, and enhancements to existing applications throughout the organization. 
  • Conduct system architecture evaluations and recommend appropriate technology solutions. 
  • Manage and monitor key IT projects to ensure timely completion. 
  • Establish and enforce IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture standards and service provision. 
  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities and implement strategies to mitigate these. 
  • Prepare and document testing requirements as well as all test data. 
  • Lead problem-solving efforts, often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations. 
  • Stay abreast of advancements in technology to ensure the company's IT infrastructure is secure and up to date. 

 

Who You Are 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT Engineer or Architect role or similar capacity. 
  • Extensive experience with infrastructure systems running on premise and in the cloud as well as the systems connecting physical to virtual. 
  • Proven track record of successful project management, demonstrating a high level of technical expertise. 
  • Prior experience in establishing and enforcing IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture standards and service provision. 
  • Experience in preparing and documenting testing requirements as well as all test data. 
  • Proven ability to lead problem-solving efforts, often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations. 
  • Up-to-date knowledge of advancements in technology to ensure the company's IT infrastructure is secure and current. 
  • Experience in providing technical leadership to IT departments and project teams. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for IT department's projects and systems.

A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level. 
 
United States Wage Range: $160,000 - $200,000
