As an Industrial Design Lead your role will be twofold. One part will be hands-on in the work we do but also to lead an interdisciplinary team with the ability to work on a multitude of products within the Einride ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include being a substantial part of the product development process all the way from the first user insights and ideas to implementation and scaling for mass production.

The second responsibility lies within a newly formed initiative - As of 2025 Einride design team is now also offering our design services to a selected few external clients. Einride plan to build the best design team within technology and innovation - Offering services within Visual design, Marketing,  Product design & Industrial design.

We will lead with making great work and that will attract the right people and clients that are onboard with the type of work we want to put into the world.

As Lead in any part of our offering, you will be the most senior person in that role. You will steer the creative vision, while forging strong relationships with external clients or stakeholders at Einride and overseeing complex, multi-functional projects across various domains. Your entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving approach will thrive in these environments, and you need to be hands-on and also make sure that the people in your team have the best setup for doing a great job – That means you will need to be the person with the answers.

Job description:

Lead the industrial design team

Engage with external clients and sell, package and present your part of the offering. Understand their business challenges and guide them toward effective creative solutions.

Develop presentations that make lasting impressions all the way from strategy to the actual output.

Lead new business pitches for your area and align with the other leads on how you sell the project.

Take responsibility from idea to final launch and how we package a case for the next clients we want to work with.

Determine the objectives and constraints of the design brief by consulting with relevant teams and stakeholders.

Undertake product research and analyze functional, commercial, aesthetic requirements.

Formulate design concepts for products within the Einride product Ecosystem - Automotive / Industrial / Consumer Products.

Prepare sketches, CAD models, diagrams, illustrations, plans, samples, customer journey maps and models to communicate design concepts.

Negotiate design solutions with relevant teams and stakeholders.

Select, specify and recommend functional and aesthetic materials, production methods and finishes for manufacturing.

Prepare and commission prototypes and samples.

Supervise the preparation CAD Files, Patterns, programmes, tooling, and the manufacture/prototyping process.

Ensure high design quality in what we deliver to our users, in close collaboration with our product and tech teamTake the lead on design for the projects you are involved in and work with different stakeholders to improve it.

Visualize the Einride vision for the future.

Requirements:

Long solid experience in designing high-quality hardware products.

Comfortable working with software such as: NURBS CAD tools like Rhino, Autodesk Alias, Polygon modelling tool like Blender or similar. Rendering tools like Keyshot, V-Ray, VRED, Maxwell render or similar. And Adobe Creative Cloud Package.

Fantastic design skills and sense of form that should be showcased in your portfolio.

You master the art of digital sketching and visualization

A good understanding of manufacturing techniques and collaboration with engineers.
