At Vertical Aerospace, we’re pioneering the future of electric aviation. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an HSE Coordinator to help ensure a safe and compliant working environment across our sites.
This is a site-based role at our Kemble location, working closely with the Site Responsible Person, HSE team, and on-site teams such as Test, Powertrain, and Logistics. Occasional travel to Bristol and other sites will be required.
As part of a growing HSE team, you’ll have the opportunity to shape our safety culture and contribute ideas as we scale.
Ensuring compliance with HSE policies, regulations, and best practices.
Conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures.
Managing HSE reports, investigating incidents, and driving corrective actions.
Maintaining HSE policies, safe work systems, and procedural frameworks.
Managing training matrices, delivering toolbox talks, and coordinating HSE training.
Conducting safety inspections, fire drills, and lone working assessments.
Collaborating with external bodies for compliance, waste management, and site inspections.
Supporting the HSE Committee and escalating concerns where necessary.
5+ years’ HSE experience, ideally in aerospace or automotive.
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
Experience in auditing processes and systems.
Strong knowledge of pressure systems and electricity at work.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
Adaptability, resilience, and a pragmatic, evidence-based approach to decision-making.
