Join our Enabling Functions Team based in Bristol as an HR Advisor and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.

Please note, this is a 12 month maternity cover fixed term contract role. 

What success will look like for you, as an HR Advisor

As HR Advisor you will be crucial in providing a great experience for our people whilst being at the heart of operational delivery for our People Partnering and Operations team. In 2024 we have many ambitious goals which you will help to drive forward, as well as being heavily involved with the development of policies, enhancing our onboarding journey, improving our people systems, supporting our leadership programme, delivering our engagement process, data analysis and more.

On a day-to-day basis you will be close to all the action, and at the centre of continuous improvement finding opportunities in the way we operate. We'll need you to provide escalation for complex queries into the Ops function – developing knowledge and approach across a broad range of people topics, you'll also play an active role in our broader squad goals for 2024. You'll take ownership for the on-boarding experience for our people including facilitating the induction session for new starters. You'll also play a part in supporting several exciting systems projects for 2024, additionally, you'll own day to day people systems maintenance, data enhancements and support the Ops inbox during peak times and providing cover as requiredYou'll need to develop several key relationships, including working closely with our people leaders to enable them to effectively support their teams and help to triage queries, as well as the People Partners, supporting employee relations case work and appropriate processes. 

What would we like you to bring.

A strong understanding of employment law and HR practices is essential to be successful in the role, as well as exposure developing policies and process, manipulating data and producing insights for leadership, and frequent use of Excel (including pivot tables) as well as other Microsoft programmes. Ideally, you will have experience coaching junior employees, as there is an opportunity to mentor our People Ops Coordinator. We are also looking for someone who has ideally worked in a start-up or scale-up environments, as you will need to provide brilliant customer services whilst having the presence of mind to challenge the status-quo in a fast-paced environment. Our HQ is in central Bristol (parking on-site) and we'd like you to be available to work from the office at least twice per week, typically Wednesday and one other.
