Key Responsibilities and Outcomes

  • Own, delegate/deliver internal research and development projects/programs on time and within budget.
  • Manage, Coordinate, track and monitor key projects and deliverables across the research programs.
  • Sit on company committees and steering groups to track progress and performance reporting of key deliverables and projects.
  • Project, manage internal R&D projects, being the voice of the Director of Technology where needed.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you should have a combination of the below knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • B Tech/M Tech in Chemical Engineering/Equivalent with > 10 years of experience in managing and leading research and technology development programs
  • Experience in setting up research and development labs, pilot plants and experimental setups
  • Work autonomously, own and delegate research projects on time and within the budget.
  • Help the company in setting up and managing the technology center facility in India.
  • Provide detailed project plans including project schedules, status reports, presentations, resource plans, budgets, meeting schedules, charts, and notes which allow the Technical Director/CTO to make effective and efficient decisions
  • Organise and prioritise a wide variety of technical projects to ensure they hit key milestones
  • Networks and engages with industrial and academic communities and institutions. Collaborate and build trusted and credible working relationships/partnerships.
  • Identify and escalate key issues and challenges which prevent projects from progressing.
  • Proactively identify the work with line/program managers, SMEs to fill the gaps in execution and delivery of the programs
  • Integrate all technical functions of carbon clean ensuring they are alligned with company road maps.
  • Successful multidisciplinary experience of technical project management experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of driving project delivery excellence in ambiguous and changing circumstances.
  • Working effectively with globally dispersed teams.
