Finance Manager

Your role and your team:

A unique opportunity to be the first Finance Manager based in the UK.  We are seeking a confident, self sufficient high achiever to help us build out the finance processes to deliver fast and accurate results for our operations. We are ambitious and are always pushing to improve the speed and quality of information into the hands of decision makers. Your days will never be the same.

Your day to day:

• Oversee a small team and drive finance digitalisation topics to create scalable, automated solutions across the ERP system
• Develop sound ways of working whilst operating remotely from majority of the the wider finance
• Support the month, quarter and year end closes and ensure the results are delivered on time and to a high level of quality (e.g. IFRS)
• Embed a culture of strong control and risk compliance, developing the controls framework, processes and systems
• Support the business with financial information and a strong understanding of results

Your profile:

• You will ideally be a qualified Accountant with proven hands on accounting and finance experience
• Self sufficient, you will be comfortable working autonomously and operating in a multiple reporting jurisdiction
• Sound technical accounting knowledge including monthly closing and accounting principles (IFRS and/or HGB knowledge useful) 
• Good ERP knowledge 
• Innovative mindset for improving process quality and efficiency 
• Resilient and able to deal with the demands of a scaling up business
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to converse within a multicultural environment 
• Business level German would be highly advantageous along with experience gained in a European business
