The Maintenance Team is a matrix organization within Beyond Meat that is dedicated to creating food products that are leading the gold standard in plant-based proteins. They are looking for an outstanding individual to join the team located in Devault, PA as a Facilities Maintenance Technician.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician (FMT) is responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds at the manufacturing sites and performs daily checklists on critical plant equipment, such as boilers, air compressors, and other utilities. The FMT should be professional, customer-focused, and able to work in a diverse and dynamic environment, be well organized, and have project management skills.

TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systemsGeneral building and grounds maintenance: Entrance doors, garage door, and high-speed rollup door repair Drywall, wall patching, and painting Roof patching, tarp hangings, and removal, as needed Basic remodeling skills, window replacement, flashing, molding, etc. Concrete, epoxy, laminate, and urethane floor repairs and replacements Hanging signage throughout the plant and around the property Basic plumbing repairs, bathroom fixtures repair and replacement, toilet replacement and repairs, etc. Basic electrical, replacing lamps and ballasts, receptacles, light switches, etc. Operate Wastewater Pre-Treatment plant, as assignedMaintain trash and cardboard compactorsAssist with HVAC repairs, motor replacements, bearings, filter replacements, and unit cleaningsTravel off-site to pick up building repair materials as neededDaily boiler and air compressor checks and blow-downsAssist with snow removal, salting, and winter-preparednessAssist managing all HVAC systems and associated equipment, and monitor the building automation systemReview and understand equipment and methods of operations, safety, security, etc.Perform facility inspections, prepare and submit reports on conditions in the building, and recommend actionsMaintain compliance with City, County, and State ordinance and codesSupport after-hours building needs and activities as requiredProvide support with the security badge system and time clocks throughout the facilitiesWork with Quality Assurance to support audit readinessAdhere to all facility policies concerning safety, security, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Performs other duties, as assigned, and follows through on requests in a timely mannerQUALIFICATIONS
Education, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience: High School diploma or GED, combination of education and at least 5 years of proven experience in facilities maintenanceCertification in HVACBuilding maintenance technology, or relevant field a plusThorough knowledge of general maintenance procedures along with a skill set that includes basic proficiencies in plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and electrical/mechanical systems
Other qualifications:Valid First Aid and AED certificationProficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)Knowledge of basic internet and email operations Ability to perform and manage technically complex projects using independent judgment and personal initiativeStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong customer and people skillsAptitude for organizing tasks, managing time, and prioritizing projectsAbility to develop strong relationships with other internal departments The FMT must be able to use time and resources effectively and efficiently, have excellent interpersonal skills, and organizational and project management skills. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Warehouse and production manufacturing environment that includes both tempered and ambient areas. The work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Must be able to occasionally climb stairs or a ladder to complete tasks.Position located in a mix of production, offices, and outside which requires a tolerance for various temperatures for the work environments (-10-100+˚ F), high worker traffic, loud noises, odors, dust, and varying room temperatures.This position will be required to visit the production floor, refrigerated and frozen storage, and warehouses.Work flexible shifts as required.Understand that overtime and occasional weekends and/or worked holidays will be required based on company needs.
