The Zoox Vehicle Electrical Architecture Team develops hardware, power distribution, network topologies, and infrastructure enablers to create an optimal autonomous vehicle architecture. The team collaborates openly and takes supportive risks. You will help develop vehicle serial data network topologies, best practices, and validation procedures for Zoox's ground-up autonomous vehicles.

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $162,000 to $266,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.

In this role, you will:
Own network design definition and implementation of the necessary network signals into the architecture documents.Develop and maintain network utilization metrics as well technology road map based on company product and features implementation plans.Collaborate with part owners, firmware developers and system engineers to determine the optimal functional messages allocation across the vehicle serial data network channels Collaborate with functional safety and functional safety groups to develop network architecture infrastructure enablers to support fail-operational and fail-safe requirements .Qualifications
BS, MS, or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experienceAt least 10 years of experience in automotive network architecture design delivering automotive electrical system-level communication network documentsSolid knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD, MOST, FlexRay, Ethernet) and serialization Experience in MATLAB, Python, C++, or equivalent tools for timing and bus utilization analysisSolid knowledge related to ISO 16262 and enablers at the network design level.Solid experience in Classic and AUTOSAR platforms across system design, software design, network design, embedded software implementation, and ECU integration levelBonus Qualifications
Experience in Adaptive AUTOSAR Experience with Vector Tools (CANalyzer/CANOE/ Prevision.)Experience in Diagnostics specification (ISO 14229 series).Experience in Network Physical HW validation & certification
