About Harbinger

Harbinger Motors Inc. is a Southern California-based electric vehicle manufacturer on a mission to transform the automotive and transportation industries, bringing to market EVs developed from the ground up to address the needs of the Medium Duty vehicle industry. Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team as a Production Data Analytics Intern. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our production and operations teams, gaining hands-on experience in data analysis, business process improvement, and operational efficiency. You will analyze production data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to enhance business processes and improve performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect, clean, and analyze production data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Assist in the development and optimization of business processes by leveraging data analytics tools and techniques.
Collaborate with production and operations teams to identify areas for improvement in workflow and operational efficiency.
Create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to present findings to management and stakeholders.
Support ongoing projects focused on process improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) based on process analysis and optimization efforts.
Conduct root cause analysis on production bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide data-driven insights and contribute to decision-making processes.
Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in data analytics, business intelligence, and production processes.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in data programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and capability to create Power Query and Macros
Familiarity with business process management (BPM) and production workflows.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of production environments or manufacturing processes is a plus but not required.
