The Communications Manager will plan and deliver creative, dynamic and effective internal and external communications, that will build the Carbon Clean brand, reach target audiences, and support the company’s growth objectives.


  • Support the Head of Communications to lead on all aspects of Carbon Clean’s internal and external communications activity
  • Plan, manage and produce communications campaigns and materials aimed at different stakeholders
  • Lead on the creation of high-quality communication materials and content, including (but not limted to): press releases, social media posts, blogs, speaker briefings, articles, messaging and web content
  • Oversee Carbon Clean’s press office and global media relations activity: managing press enquiries, liaising with agency partners, news monitoring, identifying PR opportunities, monthly reporting, analysis and evaluation of PR campaigns
  • Manage and develop Carbon Clean’s social media channels: responsibility for the social media calendar, developing social media content, identifying opportunities for engagement, coaching colleagues, monthly reporting and analysis
  • Lead on the management and execution of an internal communications strategy and engagement plan
  • Champion communications excellence throughout the organisation, including creating and updating messaging and ensuring messaging, brand guidelines and the style guide are used consistently across all internal and external channels
  • Support senior colleagues with all aspects of communications including social media content, speech writing, media training etc
  • Participate in the development and delivery of communications with key partners and stakeholders
  • Appoint and manage a Communications Executive

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should have a combination of the below knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Extensive Corporate Communications experience in a B2B sector covering both internal and external communications (at least 3 years)
  • Exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to produce crisp, accurate and engaging copy on technical/business subjects quickly and to a very high standard
  • A passion for social media and digital communications, with a drive to reach new audiences and grow a company’s digital profile
  • Demonstrable ability to comprehend and interpret complex and technical information, and a good understanding of the clean technology/climate policy landscape
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to brief, persuade and influence senior colleagues
  • Great networking and partnership development skills for the development and delivery of communications with key partners
  • A communications all-rounder with a balance of strategic and innovative thinking, project management, organisational, execution and analytical skills to deliver results
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment, with a growth mindset, ability to self-manage, and delivery-focused approach
  • Proactive self-development on industry/sector/product knowledge and best practice in corporate communications.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
