About this role:
Heliogen is seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief of Staff to support our CEO in our headquarters. The Chief of Staff will play a critical role in ensuring the success of the company by providing strategic guidance, managing complex projects, and coordinating the efforts of various teams. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects. 
In this role, you will: 
  • Manage the CEO's calendar, travel schedule, and daily activities 
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, including preparing materials and agendas 
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for senior leadership team meetings 
  • Manage special projects as assigned by the CEO or senior leadership team 
  • Work closely with the CEO and executive team to drive the company's strategic initiatives and goals 
  • Act as a liaison between the CEO and other executives, providing critical insights, recommendations, and follow-up to ensure timely and effective decision-making. 
  • Develop and manage internal processes and systems to optimize performance across the organization, including identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining workflows. 
  • Manage external relationships, including partnerships, investors, board members, and other stakeholders, to ensure alignment with the company's vision and goals. 
What's essential:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field. 
  • 7+ years of experience in a strategic or management consulting role, or chief of staff role or equivalent experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of ambiguity. 
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
Desirable:
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred. 
  • Experience in renewable energy and/or startups
  • Passion for clean energy and sustainability. 
California only full-time salary range between $110,000 - $160,000 + equity + benefits.
