  • Propose electrode improvement project plans and execute accordingly
  • Perform root cause analysis to understand and mitigate electrode failures and degradations
  • Design and help improve anode test vehicles at sub-scale and full-scale understanding the product design
  • Collaborate with Battery Product Team to improve the mechanical design of the full scale anode electrode configuration to meet target cost and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with Advanced Manufacturing Team to scale-up the concept design and develop scalable electrode designs
  • Understand the battery testing data and the experimental protocols and utilize them for anode design improvements
  • Interpret ex-situ characterization (i.e., SEM, EDS, ICP, XRD, BET, TGA, DSC) data and collaborate with external specialists and consultants to accelerate materials development
  • What You'll Bring:

  • BS or advanced degree in Mechanical engineering, Chemical engineering, or a related field
  • Practical experience designing, building and testing electrochemical systems or products such as fuel cells or batteries (graduate school time accepted as experience)
