Batch Plant Operator

 ICON is looking for a Batch Plant Operator  to be part of a growing team to produce Lavacrete, a proprietary mortar for construction 3D printing. Primary responsibilities will be to run production equipment which includes ensuring correct dosage of the raw materials through to bulk or bagged storage. This role is based at ICON’s Austin, TX Batch Plant and will report to the Shift Supervisor on ICON’s Material Operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate plant operation.
• Weigh and measuring of materials.
• Operate forklift.
• Move of materials around the plant.
• Perform general plant maintenance.
• Clean plant and silos on an as needed basis.
• Operation of heavy machinery.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience working within construction materials. (Examples: dry mortar production, aggregate production, cement production, batch plants.)

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends on an as-needed basis. 
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
• Prior forklift experience.
