What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Structural Engineer (SIP expertise). The person who fills this role will have the opportunity to develop and design cutting-edge structural systems and the homes derived from them.

The role will include working alongside other professionals to holistically deliver the next development in Mighty Buildings’ Mighty Kit System (MKS) from concept to homes at scale across the globe.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and developing typical structural details of the system
• Designing homes and structures using the system
• Client-facing structural support for both early engagement and full design
• Supporting certification and compliance from a structural perspective globally
• Value engineering existing details and components
• Oversee and ensure structural and code compliance of both the system components and the constructed homes and products 
• Collaborate with external consultants and engineering firms

What’s Required

• Licensed structural engineer 
• Revit proficient 
• Experience with designing SIP structures,
• Located in CA (grant)
• English speaking

What’s Nice-to-Have

• Experience with MgO SIPs specifically
• Licensed engineer (PE) in several states/geographies
• Russian or Spanish language proficiency 
• Other software abilities- Rhino, Solidworks, ACC
• Experience with 3D printing and slicing software
• Experience with prefabricated construction
• LEED or Passive-house experience 
• Located in the Bay Area
