The role

Our web application platforms already enable grid operators to digitalize and automate their core processes. 

As a Product Designer (w/m/d), you keep an eye on the continuous development of our product design and are motivated to elevate our platform, the Intelligent Grid Platform (IGP) to the next level.  
In a team with other product designers, visual designers and language specialists, you collectively work on the IGP’s product design, as well as improving on its user experience and usability. In your role, you communicate across departments with developers, customer success managers and product owners in order to sustainably enhance our users’ product experience. 

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Along with your colleagues from the Product and Customer Success departments, you map out the next development steps for the IGP and create further product design visions 
  • You analyze the context of use based on stakeholder feedback and specify necessary usage requirements 
  • You create user workflows, the accompanying low- and high-fidelity mockups, as well as the subsequent prototypes 
  • You evaluate the created design solutions in coordination with the stakeholders and communicate the results to the development team 
  • You contribute to the design system by setting new requirements for the Design team and defining newly needed components together with your team lead 

What you need to succeed

  • You have a degree in Media Informatics, Communication Design, or a comparable field of study 
  • You have conceptualized and/or developed UI and UX designs for web-based applications, ideally in a SaaS environment 
  • You have a passion for UI/UX product design and know what to look out for when it comes to human-computer interactions 
  • You are fluent in German 
  • You keep an eye on new design trends and solutions in digital design 
  • You excel at independent and result-oriented work 
  • Your working style is characterized by a creative and structured way of thinking 
  • You have good communication skills and you can give feedback just as well as you can take it
