The Role
At SPAN, we are building products to enable the rapid adoption of renewable energy and our team is growing quickly to drive this mission. As a Technical Sourcer on our recruiting team at SPAN, you will source a talented and diverse pipeline of candidates for all teams with a focus on Software Engineering. You are a champion of SPAN’s values and can incorporate them in strategy and implementation to help achieve the company's hiring needs. You can get up-to-speed quickly on the technical details of our product and can clearly explain the specifics of various roles to candidates. Relationship building is a key part of this job as you’d partner closely with the hiring managers across our teams to build a best-in-class candidate experience.
In this role, you will:
Identify and engage active and passive candidates for roles across SPAN’s software engineering teams.
Partner closely with the recruiting team and hiring managers to assess SPAN’s business needs and develop a hiring plan to support them.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of candidates for software engineering teams across SPAN consisting of creatively-sourced active and passive candidates.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies to create a diverse candidates pipeline for each role to meet the hiring managers needs.
Partner with leadership to help develop SPAN’s sourcing strategies.
Represent SPAN at recruiting and networking events to expand our presence in different talent communities.
Conduct the initial recruiter phone screens to sell candidates on SPAN and ensure they meet the qualifications.
Partner with the recruiter and hiring manager to ensure successful completion of intake & kickoff calls.
Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers on reporting data-driven metrics .
About You
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience sourcing technical candidates (software preferred).
Experience implementing successful creative sourcing strategies to engage both active and passive candidates.
Demonstrate the ability to build trust with candidates of all levels (entry level - director) and a propensity for understanding the factors and motivations driving their career decisions.
Aptitude for assessing the initial fit of a candidate to a role and selling them on the opportunity.
Exceptional written and verbal communication.
Strong understanding and experience using applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse experience is preferred).
Experience using recruiting tools such as Gem or similar applications.
Experience partnering with recruiters and hiring teams to strategize on identifying and closing top-tier candidates in a start-up environment.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience working on a recruiting team in the energy or renewables industry.
Strong understanding of software engineering.
Experience working at a start-up or other fast paced environments.
