Staff Technical Writer

What You Will Be Doing

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Technical Writer to join our content team and contribute to the success of the CP Platform project, a strategic initiative focused on delivering intelligent, in-app guidance and streamlined user experiences across our product suite.

As a Staff Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and publishing high-quality technical content that empowers users to efficiently use our products. You will work closely with the project lead, product managers, engineers, and UX teams to deliver accurate, accessible, and context-aware documentation using MadCap Flare and MadCap Central

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain clear, concise, and user-focused documentation including user guides, online help, and in-product content.
• Use MadCap Flare to develop modular and reusable content that supports single-sourcing and multiple output formats (PDF, HTML5, etc.).
• Collaborate with the team using MadCap Central.
• Contribute to the implementation of context-sensitive help to deliver personalized, screen-specific guidance.
• Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, UX, and support teams to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.
• Apply content standards, templates, and style guides to maintain consistency across deliverables.
• Participate in peer reviews and contribute to the continual improvement of content development processes.
• Exceptional proficiency in written English.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently while meeting tight deadlines.
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in an environment with competing demands.

Required Qualifications

• 6 - 9 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in software or technology environments.
• Proficient in MadCap Flare, with hands-on experience in creating and managing structured content.
• Familiarity with MadCap Central for collaboration, review, and publishing workflows.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with attention to detail and user perspective.
• Experience working in agile or fast-paced development environments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to context-sensitive help, UX writing, and guided workflows.
• Exposure to hardware documentation is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
• Proficient in Adobe FrameMaker; knowledge of other Adobe products.
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
