The Role:

  • Design and develop the mechanical parts, fixtures, and gauges for the Motor/Transmission by using established best practice principles. 
  • Develop the new process and supplier to build the prototype sample for the new design.    
  • Conduct industry research to understand cutting-edge trends – integrate and improve on relevant concepts into our designs
  • Coordinate the design, prototyping, testing of components, and documentation of those activities.
  • Lead failure analyses and experiments to propose design revisions and solutions.
  • Resolve manufacturing plant, assembly plant, and field issues as necessary.
  • Assist the mechanical parts order requirement from the US and work with the local suppliers to find out the best way of fabrication.
  • Ensuring the sample fabrication quality, packing them well, and shipping them to the customer.
  • Qualifications:

  • Experience with DFMEA, DOE, Six Sigma, TA, or other structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong 3D CAD skills, preferably CATIA V6/3DX.
  • Familiar with the GD&T standards.
  • Familiar with machining process, e.g. turning, milling, grinding, hobbing, and heat treatment.
  • Familiar with forging, casting, sheet metal, and injection molding part design.  
  • Must be able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience. At least a B.S in mechanical engineering (or relevant)
  • Outstanding technical problem-solving abilities based on a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated understanding of design for relevant manufacturing processes
  • Excellent problem-solving and experimental design approach, driven by curiosity and attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills in both technical and non-technical environments
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
