You Will:

  • Establish launch team schedules and deliverables related to new vehicle launch activities.
  • Oversee the development of project timelines and deliverables at the onset of the project based on inputs from all stake holders and in alignment with Lucid Motors launch plans.
  • Research and implement Industry 4.0 material handling and warehouse technologies. 
  • Act on the strategic roadmap developed by senior management on technology adaptation, software development, strategic vision.
  • Leverage program management tools to provide weekly updates to various levels of the organization, identify and escalate critical issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Management of about 15 Arizona based Material Flow staff and related activities.
  • Participate in weekly program meetings staying current and communicating the latest changes to the launch team.
  • Ensure teams are tracking to glidepaths and established KPIs and KAIs.
  • Coordinates material flow activities at the management level with other functional groups: product engineering, operations, purchasing, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Guide Material Flow Engineering to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, and people.
  • Establish Material Flow training curriculum.
  • Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers.
  • Ownership of SOW criteria for 3PL on behalf of Material Flow. 
  • Manage the interface with NPI team.
  • Direct business case development for sourcing activities. 
  • Develop and track to annual budgets.
  • Facilitate resolution of issues; guide the right resolutions based on operational impact.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor junior staff.
  • Talent identification, hiring oversight, management of the Material Flow RASIC.
  • You Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management experience in an automotive environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with material flow engineering launch activities.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in engineering or closely related field, preference given to Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering preferred. 
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Ability to speak, write and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent cross-team collaboration, with ability to work effectively in a strong matrix environment.
  • Skilled with the following software: Delmia, AutoCAD, AutoMod, Access, Smartsheet, MS Office Suite including advanced Excel analytical functions.
  • Management experience in operations within the material logistics or manufacturing industry.
  • Established track record of managing engineering staff in automotive launch role.
  • Analytics and Problem solving.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Capability to act autonomously, make decisions and provide guidance.
  • Advanced supply chain management skills.
  • Successful automotive program launch.
  • Firm understanding of the theory and practice of engineering planning, design, construction.
