We are currently seeking an experienced and collaborated Global Travel Program Manager. He/she will manage and drive the Global Travel Program. As the lead for this program, he/she will develop strategies to deliver sustainable results across a global workforce.  Lucid is a global company and we are looking for someone who has global expertise.  Someone who is customer focused and can learn to understand our employee based to best support their travel experience. *We prefer to have this individual residing in N. California at our Newark, CA headquarters, however remote candidates will be considered.

The Role

  • Oversee and manage a Global Travel Program that will scale the company’s growth by working closely with all suppliers and vendors (including air, lodging, and car rental transportation) 
  • Develop and drive global travel strategy and best practices in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Develop strategy for consistent travel measurement and monitoring; drive for ongoing improvements
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to measure T&E performance and industry benchmarks
  • Engage and establish business partnerships with cross functional teams to collaborate and drive strategies to provide world class service for travel and employees
  • Provide operational management oversight of Concur booking tool
  • Responsible for ongoing monitoring and benchmarking of travel program and industry trends, for process enhancements and vendor/supplier innovation opportunities to develop new initiatives
  • Monthly SLA and travel spend reporting 
  • Responsible for developing strong and effective business partner relationships with all departments at all levels, and Senior Leaders across globe
  • Develop travel reports and benchmark analysis for all stakeholders and leadership team
  • Prepares and presents complex data analysis to Leadership Team
  • Conducts SOX and compliance audits on a regular cadence 
  • Ensures compliance to travel program as per T&E policy
  • Respond to travel requests and HR Helpdesk tickets pertaining to travel in a timely manner
  • Conduct Yearly Business Reviews internally and participate in Yearly Supplier Business Reviews
  • Attend relevant travel and event industry functions 
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and equivalent experience 10+ years in global travel management
  • Strong track record with vendor and supplier partnership
  • T&E, Concur, SAP and American Express Corporate Card program experience is a must
  • Ability to communicate effectively and frequently, listen attentively with all levels of the company
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong program management and negotiation skills 
  • Ability to succinctly frame issues and can act decisively to drive decisions, while demonstrating agility to support the evolution of business needs.
  • Ability to drive change management and champion changes
  • Strong business ethics, must be enthusiastic and team orientated
  • Commitment: self-motivated and performance driven; coupled with the willingness to take necessary actions to deliver on commitments 
  • Independent judgment, proactive approach and fierce analytical abilities 
  • Highest ethical standards in dealing with suppliers and in representing Lucid
