We are currently seeking a swing shift Sr. EMC Technician. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the LV Test and Validation team and ensure the robustness of Lucid’s electronic modules by performing various EMC tests and maintain the EMC lab cleaned and organized as a primary role. As a secondary role, he/she is expected to support the R&D engineering lab with PCBA rework, harness fabrication and ECU debugging.

Key Responsibilities:
The Sr. EMC technician will report to the LVEE Lab Supervisor and will follow directions of a lead EMC test Engineer and EMC test team, and will be responsible for:Performing Radiated and Conducted Emissions and Immunity Testing and Electrostatic Discharge TestingPerform testing to according to Lucid module level EMC specifications and international standards like CISPR 25, ISO-11452 series, ISO-7637 series, ISO-10605Set-up and monitor complex load box configurations that allow the device under test to perform all of its critical functions while in the EMC chamberRead and review EMC test plans to ensure testing is compliant to those plans and the underlying test procedureDocument lab test procedures & instructions, record and analyze test data, and provide feedback to the design team as to the performance of their designsPrepare EMC test reports for in-house DV/PV EMC testingAssist in the design and assembly of EMC test setupsEnsure lab equipment(s) are properly maintained and calibratedSupport EMC laboratory accreditation activitiesSupport EMC testing at external labs as neededQualifications:
5 plus years of experience in performing EMC testing, automotive preferredEMC testing experience in an ISO-17025 accredited test facility preferredProficiency in EMI/EMC testing such as radiated emissions, conducted emissions, ESD, Surge, radiated immunity, conducted immunity, bulk current injection, magnetic immunity, power dips and interruptions, etcProficiency in test instruments such as spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, oscilloscope, Surge Transient generator, ESD simulator, anechoic chamber, antennas, etcAbility to read and understand electric circuit diagramsAbility to solder PCB components down to 0402 size, IC QFN packages and vehicle cable harnessfabrication experience is a plusKnowledge of infotainment devices is a big plusShift Information: This is a second shift opening, Monday through Friday, 3:00PM - 11:30PM, and willingness to work off-shifts and on weekends may also be required.Education:
