You will collaborate with teams of engineers and scientists to develop project schedules and milestones, identify and fill gaps, flag risks, estimate budgets and resources, and clearly communicate ongoing progress. Responsibilities

  • You will work with technical leadership to develop roadmaps, plan software development efforts and ultimately usher projects through the entire development life cycle
  • You will manage project scope and schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders
  • You will ensure every team understands what they need to deliver at all times
  • Facilitate and deliver releases for features and infrastructure contributing to multiple ongoing spacecraft programs
  • You will leverage your experience to identify, test, and deploy software management initiatives to improve efficiency
  • You will analyze, evaluate and provide information needed for the development of software products to all relative stakeholders
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders in order to define and track resource requirements (e.g. headcount)
  • You will aggregate and report on problems with deployed software both in the lab and on orbit
  • You will establish standard reports to provide concise and effective communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent job experience

  • Strong track record of managing complex cross-functional projects
  • Strong references that highlight your ability to build strong working relationships with senior leaders and engineers across diverse functions and departments
  • An ability to keep the big picture in focus and to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to each appropriate audience
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with new challenges each week

Nice-to-have Skills

  • Experience with high-reliability embedded software development (aerospace, autonomous vehicle, medical device, etc.)
  • Experience with embedded and FPGA development
