About the company:

Nitricity is a startup addressing climate change, and we are looking for your help! We are innovating in an essential chemical industry that supports global food systems. The bedrock of modern agriculture is the production, distribution, and application of the essential nutrients found in fertilizers. However, nitrogen fertilizer is currently made in coal- and gas-fired facilities located hundreds to thousands of miles away from farmers who need it. The $120B industry is responsible for as much as 6% of global CO2eq emissions. Nitricity Inc. has developed a new technology that produces fertilizer using air, water, and renewable electricity (e.g., solar). Growers will have access to a more reliable, low cost, and environmentally friendly fertilizer supply. We are actively growing our team to help us turn this vision into a reality.

About us

Nitricity is a leading agriculture player committed to delivering sustainable and innovative solutions for farmers worldwide. We provide high-quality fertilizers that enhance crop yields while promoting environmental stewardship. With a solid commitment to sustainable agriculture, we are dedicated to improving food security and reducing the environmental impact of farming practices.

Position Overview

We seek a seasoned Site Development Manager with experience in site selection analysis, construction coordination, heavy equipment/electrical installations, and permitting. This role is critical to our strategic expansion and sustainability initiatives, requiring a dynamic individual who can manage site development and operational needs, including identifying and delivering the ideal site for fertilizer production,  identifying and performing due diligence on multiple construction firms, organizing the procurement of renewable power at competitive rates, and assisting in lease negotiations and site control.

  • Renewable Power Procurement: Secure renewable power at a highly competitive rate for our facilities. This will entail engaging with power utilities like PG&E, negotiating with solar companies, and ensuring sites have the necessary grid interconnections. The role requires thorough due diligence of potential solar providers to ensure reliability and compatibility with our operations.
  • Lease Review and Negotiation: Assist in reviewing and negotiating leases with our leadership team, ensuring favorable terms that support site control and our broader operational goals.
  • Assist with Operations Needs of Current Facility: Learn from, contribute to, and help to improve the operations of Nitricity’s headquarters in Fremont.
  • Community Engagement: Identify community groups and offices to engage with to support permitting and workforce development.

Qualifications
