The Job
This opportunity is for a candidate to be part of our Accounting team. This is a full-time role for a Tax Manager at Omnidian. The Tax Manager will oversee all aspects of corporate taxation including ensuring compliance with tax laws in our operating jurisdictions including tax provision preparation in accordance with ASC 740, a variety of tax compliance activities ranging from property tax filings, sale tax exemption filings, state tax filings, collaboration on federal and state income tax returns as well as tax planning activities.
This position reports to the Controller and will be instrumental in collaborating with our legal team, fund management team and other members of the Finance department. This candidate must be team oriented whilst possessing the ability to work independently. The selected individual must possess the ability to multi-task and have a high degree of initiative, ownership, accuracy, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Critical skills the candidate must possess include being organized, proactive, collaborative, critical thinker, adaptable, possessing a sense of urgency, and detailed nature.

What You'll Do
Manage all aspects of corporate tax compliance, including preparation and filing of state and local taxes, including but not limited to the various Form 1099s required, property tax filings, etc.Lead the coordination of preparation and review of annual and quarterly tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including effective tax rate calculations and deferred tax analysisStrong knowledge of C-Corporation and Partnership taxation and accountingAddress direct and indirect tax mattersWork with Controller on developing and identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and maximize cash flowCoordinate with external tax preparers, advisors and auditors to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reportingCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal and business operations, to provide tax guidance and support for strategic initiativesAssist with tax-related aspects of finance and corporate transactionsMaintain effective relationships with tax authorities and respond to inquiries and audits as neededUnderstands product taxability, tax resale/exemption certificate and license rules by jurisdiction and provides tax advice, guidance and training to internal and external stakeholders including operating companies, customers, vendors, other departments, etc.Drive sale tax-exemption application and compliance process in various operational jurisdictionsDocumentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to tax processesProvide training and guidance to finance and accounting staff on tax-related matters as needed.Experience You'll Need
Bachelor’s and/or Advanced degree in AccountingCPA designation requiredMinimum of 10 years of progressive experience in corporate taxation Working knowledge of Netsuite is a plusStrong MS Office application (Excel and Word) requiredGoogle Workspace experience preferred but not requiredStrong analytical skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex tax issues and provide practical solutionsExperience with tax compliance software and ERP systemsDetail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and complianceStrong and effective written and oral communication skills requiredAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentAdaptability/flexibility and teamwork skills are necessary.Work-Life Culture
