The Systems Engineering and Integration (SEI) team’s mission is to work with teams across Zoox to analyze and address gaps in systems design and verification, to ensure we follow best practices on both sides of the classic “V” model. We are seeking an experienced Software Technical Program Manager who will develop and define configuration management processes to improve reliability, and scalability across the software development lifecycle while working cross-functionally to ensure the integration of our configuration management processes.

Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $191,000 to $277,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.

In this role, you will:

  • Be a key member of the configuration management team implementing automated configuration management of our fleet of autonomous robots working alongside representatives from HW, IT, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations. You will be the lead for the SW teams.
  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for automated configuration management aligned with project objectives and timelines for self-driving vehicle development.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement software tools and platforms for automated configuration management, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry best practices.
  • Define, refine, and optimize configuration management processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability across the software development lifecycle.
  • Lead a virtual team across Zoox responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated configuration management solutions, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with software development, testing, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of configuration management processes with overall project workflows.
  • Identify potential risks and dependencies related to configuration management activities and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by promoting innovation, implementing best practices, and staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in configuration management.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in software program management with a focus on automated configuration management, preferably in the automotive or autonomous vehicle industry.
  • Familiarity with embedded FW and SW development cycles. 
  • Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with industry tools such as SAP, 3Dx, and tools for vehicle SW deployment.
  • Masters Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
