The Vehicle EMC Integration team at Zoox is working closely with the EE, Sensor and Advanced Hardware Engineering teams to assess component, subsystem and vehicle level EMC performance, and define solutions for production vehicle with high signal integrity level.
As Staff Vehicle EMC Integration Engineer, you will plan the day-to-day team activities, improve the core competencies, prioritize internal and external issues depending on system/vehicle function impact, and deliver the complete EMC vehicle attribute assessment. You will be the lead for assuring that we deliver vehicle level EMC performance on time to support product launch. This is a highly cross-functional role, requiring constant communication with FW, SW, HW, and integration teams. A key task is to propagate lessons learned among these teams to improve the execution of subsequent development phases.
We are looking for an engineer that is passionate about autonomous driving, has strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to deliver on time.
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $185,000 to $307,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.

In this role, you will:
Develop, maintain, and execute the vehicle-level EMC development and validation plans, and schedule to support company milestonesWork closely with the Advanced Hardware Engineering EMC component team to support delivery of component EMC testing in advance of vehicle level testingManage supplier provided EMC testing and reports, flag issues, work with system and components engineers to drive resolutionReport on issues identified, next steps, help needed and flag risks to program timing with appropriate mitigation plansDrive the issues to closure on time with high quality. Including driving the change management processDevelop documentation on best practices for vehicle EMC testing of our robotCreate reports to effectively communicate the EMC results and open issues to key stakeholders and engineering executive leadership teamQualifications
MS in EE or equivalent in an engineering disciplineExperience: 15+ years of developing automotive EE, sensor and compute system in compliance with leading EMC standardsExperience: 5+ years of leadership experience in fast paced product development environmentExperience in vehicle function/diagnostic verificationBroader knowledge of EMC standard in various industry and its applicationExcellent writing and verbal communication skills across different level of the organization, proficiency with project management tool (JIRA, Gantt charts)Track record in deliverable results and managing complex cross-functional projects within time and budget constraints.Bonus Qualifications
