The Role
As our Senior Material Planner, you’ll be responsible for ensuring raw materials and components are delivered in a timely manner to support production needs, at optimal efficiency and most cost effective. This individual must fully understand supply chain and production operations, as well as be an expert on their assigned product or commodities. This role involves daily management of supply and constraints, status reporting and escalation, supplier engagement and the relentless pursuit of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What you'll do:
Own MRP to proactively identify supply requirements and deploy inventory strategy (safety stock levels, lot sizing etc.) with the supply base achieving production, inventory, and cost objectives.Identify and lead process improvement projects related to execution and planned growth for our product; including understanding BOM structures related to forecastingIdentify and tackle clear to build exceptions daily, reacting as needed to ensure supply continuity for manufacturing operations, expediting orders when appropriate, and working closely with Logistics partners to optimize freight expense and expedite requests.Work closely with the Supplier Network by resolving issues to ensure On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) performance is achieved with all the proper documentationIdentify key forecasting dependencies and complex trends for the service environments when historical data metrics are limitedCoordinate with Suppliers and Warehouse team to resolve shipment discrepanciesSkills to be successful:
3+ years’ experience in manufacturing, distribution, finance, or supply chain managementProficiency of MRP/ERP with a sound understanding of material requirements planning, bills of material, inventory control, product lifecycle management, procure to pay processes, and supply chain operationsNice to haves:
Background in energy, fleet management, or EV industryAPICS CPIM designationVBA, SQL, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools
