The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in managing and improving logistics operations across domestic and international channels. This position focuses on driving packaging design initiatives, establishing AOG (Aircraft on Ground) support processes, coordinating high-profile showplane logistics for the marketing team, supporting logistics cost management, and advancing the PFEP (Plan for Every Part) implementation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced aerospace environment, brings cross-functional collaboration skills, and has a strong foundation in logistics strategy and execution.

What you’ll do:

  • Help design and implement a responsive Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) logistics process to support urgent part movements and unplanned maintenance events.
  • Support the growth and scalability of logistics capabilities in both domestic and global markets.
  • Assist in carrier selection, trade compliance coordination, and documentation for international shipments.
  • Ensure timely, cost-effective transportation aligned with program requirements and build schedules.
  • Lead end-to-end logistics coordination for showplanes and demo aircraft, partnering closely with the marketing and events teams.
  • Plan transport schedules, packaging, permits, customs documentation, and site delivery for trade shows, airshows, and promotional events.
  • Serve as point of contact for transportation vendors and third-party logistics providers supporting showplane activity.
  • Continue rollout and data maintenance of the PFEP program to optimize part storage, presentation, and delivery to the point of use.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to standardize containerization, part handling instructions, and material flow mapping.
  • Drive part-level logistics improvements tied to inventory accuracy and flow efficiency.
  • Assist with tracking and analyzing logistics costs across modes (freight, packaging, storage).
  • Support monthly and quarterly logistics forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through mode optimization, consolidation, or packaging improvement.
  • Support the development and management of department KPI metrics.
  • Travel may be required but on an infrequent basis.

What You Need:

  • 3–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or materials management (preferably in aerospace or manufacturing).
  • Strong understanding of packaging standards, transportation modes, and international shipping practices.
  • Experience coordinating AOG or time-critical shipments is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with PFEP methodology and lean material flow concepts.
  • Proficient in logistics software, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), and MS Office.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Understanding of trade compliance, INCOTERMS, and international customs regulations
  • Experience in Aerospace and/or Automotive industry a plus
  • APICS certification
