We are looking for a Senior Facilities Operations Specialist to join our team and lead St. Louis, MO facilities operations. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Facilities and Operations and is a member of the Facilities Leadership TeamThe role involves leading facilities operations to support customer needs of multiple departments, including Manufacturing, Distribution, Quality, Product Innovation, and Commercial OperationsAs a member of the Facilities leadership team, you will contribute to the global site network strategy by developing and implementing core facilities business processes, capital projects, technology solutions, service delivery strategies, and key performance indicatorsThe ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a productive and welcoming atmosphere. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Partner with team members located in Berkeley, CA and Ames, IA to develop and implement effective workplace services for multiple St. Louis facilities including janitorial, food & beverage, event management, internal communications, facility tours, concierge/help desk, badge access and employee onboarding/offboarding.  Manage other 3rd party services including office, safety and laboratory supplies and consumables. 
  • Perform space planning for Missouri facilities to ensure optimal utilization of lab, office, manufacturing, and warehouse space. 
  • Liaison with landlords to ensure realization of the benefits and adherence to obligations for lease agreements. 
  • Manage capital leasehold improvements including design, competitive bidding, construction management, equipment installation, and turnover. 
  • Establish operational readiness and total productive maintenance programs for facility related assets including building envelope, mechanical, electrical and process piping infrastructure. 
  • Participate in the Site Safety team and partner with EHSS (Environmental, Health, Safety & Security) support implementation of facilities related on-site safety programs including contractor safety, lock-out-tag-out (LOTO), hot work, working at heights and other programs as required by EHSS 
  • Shipping and receiving of indirect materials, supplies, and consumables. Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain to develop and implement site shipping and receiving procedures for indirect materials including lab supplies, safety supplies, and office supplies. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, workplace operations, employee experience or a similar role. 
  • Ability to consistently deliver a high level of customer service. 
  • Strong communication skills across employees at all levels within the organization. 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. 
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft products. 
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with flexibility for outside business hours as needed. 
  • Must be able sit and/or stand for long periods of time. 
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. 
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or equivalent  
  • CAD (Computer Aided Design) proficiency is a plus!

All remote positions and those not located in our Berkeley facility are paid based on National Benchmark data.  Following employment, growth beyond the hiring range is possible based on performance.
