Role Summary:

In this role you will help support the Global Trade Compliance team by managing Rivian’s US exports and ensuring compliance with United States export regulations. Overall activities may include creation of export documents, help desk monitoring, broker assistance, ad hoc vehicle moves, and returnable packaging process development and management.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong critical thinking skills with the ability to address issues and challenges in daily work with limited supervision. Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills will benefit this role greatly as candidate will be required to think and perform strategically in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.

 Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of contact with Rivian’s freight forwarders, brokers and internal stakeholders in order to facilitate the processing and export clearance of vehicles, test equipment, and service parts;
  • Development and management of returnable packaging process;
  • Support Senior Trade Compliance Manager in gathering documentation required for to self-classify ECCNs for products and technology;
  • Generation of export documentation (i.e., commercial invoices) for ad hoc export shipments;
  • Coordinate with non-US counterparts on destination import requirements;
  • Support auditing of U.S exports. 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in International Trade/Business/Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years or more of experience working import/exports;
  • Knowledge and experience in U.S. ECCNs preferred;
  • Manufacturing and automotive experience strongly preferred;
  • Experience with Integration Point software and SAP ERP is a plus;

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Colorado Based Applicants: $84,000-$97,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for New York City Based Applicants: $100,000-$115,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
