Director, Construction and Infrastructure

Position Summary:
ChargePoint is seeking a Senior EV Project Manager, who will be accountable for ensuring success for ChargePoint’s largest and most complex customers.  In this role you will be accountable for monitoring progress, providing decision-making leadership, resolving issues, and initiating proactive gap mitigations for all customer deliverables.  You will identify and manage risks by understanding the roles of Sales, Supply Chain, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Production, Finance, Deployment and Support in order to assess the status of the program.  You will give regular updates to Executive Staff on your projects and be the one point of truth for the overall status of you’re the customers implementation.

The Project Manager will apply their skills to the delivery of turnkey infrastructure construction projects coupled with electric vehicle charging hardware and software. The role will report to the director of construction and infrastructure in Europe and will work closely with the Technical engineering & Sales and client teams. We are looking for adaptable, highly motivated, and talented leaders who are not hostage to process and want to be awesome.

Responsibilities:

• Define program scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalating as necessary. 
• Monitor project progress and performance, and report regularly to the senior management team.
• Ensure the project is delivered on time within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Communicate program updates and outcomes to key stakeholders.
• Provide leadership, foster a collaborative environment that encourages effective communication and problem solving. 

Requirements:  

• Fluent in English required, also fluent in one or more of Dutch/German/French/Italian 
• Proven experience as a Sr Project Manager, managing complex programs from inception to completion.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and manage change effectively. 
• Strong project management skills with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships with diverging stakeholder requirements at all levels and confidence communicating at a senior level 
• Strong analytical skills, able to evaluate data and make evidence-based decisions.
• Experience of delivering projects that require electrical and civils construction services.
• Prior exposure to delivery and service coordination.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

• 8+ years’ experience in program management
• Experience in managing complex Customer Programs that include hardware, software, and services.
• Experience in EV charging Preferred
• Able to manage project/program cost reporting & change management 
• A diligent reporter that takes time to document activities with a proficiency using tracking tools
• Proven ability to converse with and persuade stakeholders at all levels of management
• Effective listening skills, ensuring customer needs are clearly understood
• Superior professionalism and judgment with a strong work ethic
• Knowledge of electric vehicles and charging dynamics is preferred but not required
• Excellent people skills and a positive and enthusiastic attitude
• Strong computer skills
